Visual artist: Queen-Poetri Dozier

Queen‑Poetri Dozier is a lifelong artist whose creative roots run deep. She began painting as a child, inspired by her mother Queen-Starletta, who was also an artist. Today, she continues that legacy as both a creator and an educator, teaching art and guiding young people through youth‑development programs with Victim Services and the Community Art Center.

As a Community Engagement Specialist, Queen‑Poetri uses her artistry to uplift, motivate, and transform her city of Johnstown, PA. Her murals brighten neighborhoods, celebrate community stories, and turn blank walls into living expressions of hope. Her work and influence have been featured in Johnstown Magazine and local newspapers, and she has been honored with awards including “Aesthetic Creator” and “Johnstown’s Favorite Artist.”

Known for her ability to make something out of nothing, Queen‑Poetri thrives on the magic of a blank slate. Her art is not just what she creates, it’s how she connects, empowers, and brings beauty to the world around her. This is only the beginning; She no longer complains about the downfalls falls of her city, she is now a part of the change!

Queen will live paint for us during the festival!
