Wow, and see you July 22-24, 2027!

What an incredible year for the AmeriServ Flood City Music Festival — from the huge Thursday “Night Zero” crowd to the final note of the wild and wonderful Sneezy set in the wee hours of Sunday morning. The artists turned in shows to remember, often in collaboration with our artists at large. Greensky Bluegrass returned to Johnstown after many years and a rich history here, and their set featuring Holly Bowling was epic — did you catch Greensky’s social media reel with Holly announcing a longer tour together, filmed in our green room backstage? The Disco Biscuits’ collaboration with Karina Rykman and Natalie Cressman on a cover of the David Bowie classic “Let’s Dance” was unforgettable. And boy did we ever dance!

The vibes were amazing, the people were so friendly, and we can’t say enough about our community — the sponsors, in-kind donors, and volunteers who come together with such purpose and commitment to pull this thing off. There are too many to thank here, but a standing ovation is due to our title sponsor, AmeriServ Bank, stage sponsors Fuhrer/Bud Light, 1st Summit Bank, Somerset Trust, and Breezeline. We can’t tell you what the support means to us. Volunteers — you helped us welcome people from 27 states to Johnstown with big smiles and tons of enthusiasm, and that’s what it’s all about!

We got so many great comments on not only the festival, but also our town. Many out-of-town folks expressed a desire to come back and explore more. Welcome back anytime — our producing organization, Heritage Johnstown, has some great museums you really ought to visit — but be assured that we’re deep into planning next year. In a time of economic uncertainty when the live music industry is struggling, especially festivals, that you help us continue on a growth pattern is simply remarkable. Thank you.

Every year we work hard to improve the festival experience. In 2026, improvements included a new digital ticketing vendor, a centralized merch tent, sidewalk art (thank you Elias Painting!), a better VIP experience, slight tweaks to the layout (including moving the mainstage back 15 feet for more audience room) and retaining a videographer to help us better tell our festival’s story. We’re already working on how to build on all of this for next year.
